Me and our team decided we wanted to do something with this seasons colour blocking trend. We decided to shoot on location, which is always a little worrying in Northern Ireland. But we struck lucky and it turned out to be a glorious day. In fact I think it was the first glorious day of the year!

This picture is from the men's wear editorial shoot I did for the Wedding Journal last month and It's my favorite shot from the day. It was shot in the Crumlin Jail in Belfast which is the only Victorian era prison remaining in Northern Ireland and has been derelict since 1996.
It was pretty spooky.

For some reason it's all about the mens fashion this month on my blog. But then mens fashion doesn't often get a mention so it's about time!!!

Mike is the front man of new band Naymedici based in Manchester (see pic below).

What makes him particularly fashionable is that apart from being a singer for hot new band Naymedici he is also a model for Hugo Boss.

I like his effortless but bang on trend look he created with skinny jeans,plimsolls, breton stripe t-shirt,shaggy hair and a beany hat oh and those cheekbones!!!

Great blast from the past but as much as I love this pic I'm happy jumper season is finally over and our summer wardrobe can come out finally!!

I am really loving April/May Wonderland shoot by Benny Horne 'Chop my Blood' .

They have used corsetry to create an unconventional silhouette for the male figure.

Nice to see more unusual shapes for the man!

David Gandy made an appearance on lasts weeks Friday Night with Jonathan Ross .

So, I thought I would share my picture of him with you!

I nearly missed him as normally I am so focused on documenting woman's fashion that I look past most guys at the shows, although in fairness there is never that many in the first place. But this time thankfully a very camp PR guy came running over to me and squealed: " There is David Gandy please please please you must take a picture of him I LOVE him"

So I did what I was told and he didn't have to ask me twice!

I hate Granny-tights

This is one of my pet hates:thick nude coloured, matt tights. I call them granny-tights! As granny's are the only ones that can get away with them. With granny's I don't mean the new age granny. I mean the purple rinse type!

I know it's cold at the moment but I still don't see there ever being a good reason to ruin a fab pair of shoes with granny tights! Especially not if the shoes are chanel!

I'm really loving the recent tights/suspender look which many fashionistas have been wearing in the run up to spring.

I think it gives summer shorts an edgy twist and it means they can be worn NOW!

Janet Jackson!!

Normally I'm not overly impressed by celebrities when shooting front row, but I am a die hard Michael Jackson fan, so Janet is as close as I will ever get!

I actually have this outfit I love wearing which is black embellished harem trousers and a T-shirt I picked up in Goa with a picture of Michael Jackson and R.I.P over the top of the picture. I love the outfit and nearly wore it on the that day that Janet turned up. I have to say I am quite glad I didn't wear it as I think I would have felt a little silly with Janet around! On the other hand I was not too impressed with her outfit either!

The bars, danger signs, walkie talkies. Fierce people with a mission are pressing their noses against the bars. Any by-passers may assume this is a scene from a prison, but no it's fashionistas, photographers, journalists andfashion buyers waiting to get into the Hakaan show. Who ever said it's all glamour NO it's hard work and determination that gets us into the much awaited shows..eh and an invitation of course!!

Naomi Nice

This picture was taken at Vivienne Westwood's Red label AW10 show.

Naomi was one of the last to sit down so I missed her at the start. I spotted her though during the show and went up to her at the end. I have to say I didn't know what to expect because of all the bad press about her tantrums. But when I got there I quietly asked her for a picture and to my amazement she turned around and gave me the loveliest smile!! phew!

I would normally not leave the house with a pair of jogging pants, but its not where you wear them,

its how you wear them.
I took this picture at this years AW10 shows in London and I really liked the way she had paired her jogging bottoms with a breton stripe and wedge boots! The pink clutch gives the outfit a lift of colour.
I'm off to buy myself a pair I saw on Asos.com and the best thing is they are cheap as chips!!

I'm really loving the effect of red hair against coloured lighting as you can see from my last two posts!! The dress has a very flattering shape and I'm a fan of the orange nails, they break up the blue in the picture perfectly.

BFW usually ends with a hair-show. This one was by Michael Quinn and it had to be one of my favorites yet. It was inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

I loved the drama and the colours especially with the green light against the red hair!

Hakaan triumph

How Hakaan a relatively unknown Turkish designer became talk of the fashion circus!!

Some of the biggest names were modelling for him and the front-row was extreme for a virtually unknown designer. Kate Moss and Carine Roitfeld were some of the big names and of course there was David Walliams who was proud onlooker of his fiancé Lara Stone, one of the big name models on the catwalk. The clothes were fierce, strong silhouettes with lots of leather!!
